The Islanders’ Big Al Birthday Party is Friday, July 28, 2023, from 3:00pm to 5:00pm at the Wild Dunes Swim Center. Bring your kids to a poolside party at Wild Dunes to celebrate the paperback release of the children’s book, “Search for Treasure”, written by local authors Mary Alice Monroe and Angela May. Attendees can have their books signed, play poolside games, enjoy snacks, and participate in a scavenger hunt. This event is sponsored by The Club at Wild Dunes Resort, Wild Dunes Resort, and Barnes & Noble. Children must be 3 years or older to attend. Tickets are $20 and include a $5 book coupon to purchase a paperback copy of “Search for Treasure” or the local picture book, Mr. Gator Hits the Beach, written by Julie McLaughlin and illustrated by Ann Marie McKay.
