The Interior

Expect vibrant lighting, funky seating, and walls that’ll keep your eyes busy at Harold’s Cabin. There’s a downstairs bar and dining room as well as an upstairs lounge and outdoor patio called The Pickled Beat. The Pickled Beat is a festive spot at all times, but especially from October to December when they have their pop-up holiday bar. They start prepping their signature egg nog five months ahead of time!

The Exterior

Harold’s Cabin is right on the corner of Congress and President Street in the lovely neighborhood of Hampton Park Terrace. On the back side of the building is the outdoor patio, where guests can enjoy drinks and snacks in the sunshine. The upstairs patio is also home to the restaurant’s bee house, where they get fresh honey for their drinks and dishes.

The Menu

Harold’s Cabin offers cuisine for vegetarians and meat lovers alike. The menu includes a seasonal rotating Spoon Salad, which currently features farro, Sea Island red peas, local squash, charred kale, pickled wax beans, blueberries, house-made blueberry vinaigrette, and breadcrumbs. Other items include two decadent burgers, charcuterie boards, beet dip, nachos, and a cheese and fruit plate.

Harold’s offers a full bar, but the two daily frozen drinks are standouts. These are rotating, but one is usually sweet and fruity, while the other is more decadent and milkshake-like. The one pictured below is a banana pudding drink made with banana bread, beer reduction, brandy, bourbon, bananas, cream, vanilla, Nilla Wafers, and bananas for garnish.

The team at Harold’s Cabin is incredibly creative, so be sure to follow them on Instagram to stay up-to-date on their seasonal drinks and dishes.
