The Charleston Festival
The Charleston Festival is Thursday, March 14, through Sunday, April 14, 2024, at various locations around Charleston. Tickets range from $75 to $250. Through various educational tours and events, you will experience Charlestons’ culture and architecture and learn more about the extensive historical events that have taken place. Attendees can enjoy events such as Food For Thought Luncheon Lectures, Morning History Walks, Glorious Garden Tours, Garden Splendor Tours, a Calligraphy Workshop, and more.
Spring Music Series
The Spring Music Series in on the second Thursday of each month from March to June, 2024 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at Magnolia Park and Community Garden. Attendees can enjoy an evening of live music, food trucks, and a selection of beer and wine. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs.
2024 Walk for Water
The 2024 Walk for Water is Saturday, March 23, 2024, from 9:00am to 12:00pm at Riverfront Park. This walk raises awareness and funds for the global water crisis by building safe water solutions for those in need worldwide. Registration costs $10 for ages 5-17 and $25 for ages 18 and up.
Charleston Spring Wine Festival
The Charleston Spring Wine Festival is Saturday, March 30, 2024, from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at the Johnson Hagood Stadium at The Citadel. Attendees can enjoy wine selections, mimosas, and a limited beer selection. All beverage tastings are included in the ticket price, and food will be available for purchase from Roti Rolls. Guests can enjoy live music from High Society, DJ Brent Folks, DJ Shok, and Daniell Pollock for no additional cost. Tickets are now on sale for $50 and will increase to $55 after March 21, 2024. They will be $65 on the day of the event. *The first 500 tickets sold online will be only $40.
Charleston Bluegrass Festival
The Charleston Bluegrass Festival is at the Givhans Ferry State Park from Friday to Saturday, March 29-30, 2024. The festival will feature live music from Jon Stickley Trio, Tray Wellington, Band Fireside Collective, and more. Local food, craft vendors, outdoor activities, and plush camping options will be available.
Credit One Charleston Open
The Credit One Charleston Open is from Saturday to Sunday, March 30, 2024, to April 7, 2024, at The Credit One Stadium on Daniel Island, SC. Single-session tickets or ticket packages can be purchased online. If you are traveling from downtown to the event, you can hop on the Daniel Island Ferry to avoid traffic. Lowcountry Strawberry Festival
Enjoy a family-friendly weekend at the Lowcountry Strawberry Festival. The festival will be held Friday to Sunday, April 5 to 7, 2024, and Friday through Saturday, April 12 to 14, 2024, on the perimeter of Boone Hall Plantation. The festival includes a petting zoo, rides, games, food vendors, fresh strawberries, and live music.
Cooper River Bridge Run
The annual Cooper River Bridge Run is back and is on Saturday, April 6, 2024. This 10-K race is a great way to see the beautiful views of Charleston. The race starts in Mount Pleasant and goes over the Cooper River Bridge into downtown Charleston. Registration fees range from $45 – $150, depending on when you sign up.
Lowcountry Cajun Festival
The Lowcountry Cajun Festival is Saturday, April 13, 2024, from 12:00pm to 6:00pm at James Island County Park. The event will include a variety of Cajun and Creole foods, Zydeco music, a crawfish-eating contest, and activities for kids. Tickets are $35 per car when purchased in advance, and $40 at the door. An all-day kids area handstamp is available for $10 which is valid for inflatables and the climbing wall.
High Water Festival
The High Water Festival is from Saturday to Sunday, April 20-21, 2024, at Riverfront Park. This event will include live music, food vendors, local art, and more! The 2024 headliners are Noah Kahan and Hozier. All ages are welcome.
Charleston Walk for Autism
The Charleston Walk for Autism is Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Hampton Park. Registration is $30. This run raises awareness and funds for the Charleston Walk for Autism organization.
The Black Food Truck Festival
The Black Food Truck Festival is Friday to Sunday, April 26 to 28, 2024, from 11:00am to 7:00pm at The Exchange Park Fairgrounds in Ladson, SC. Attendees can enjoy over 40 local food trucks that feature an array of cuisines, from Black American Soul Food to West African dishes, kid-friendly games and activities, live music, and dancing.
Children under 12 years old can attend for free.
Blessing of the Fleet and Seafood Festival
The Blessing of the Fleet and Seafood Festival is Sunday, April 28, 2024, from 11:00am to 5:00pm at Memorial Waterfront Park. This event pays tribute to Mount Pleasant’s local shrimping and fishing industry. There will be a boat parade, live music, craft shows, and a shrimp-eating contest. Admission and activities are free. All ages are welcome.
North Charleston Arts Fest
The North Charleston Arts Fest is from Wednesday, May 1, 2024, through Sunday, May 5, 2024. This festival will include various free events throughout North Charleston venues such as libraries, community centers, businesses, and parks. Spoleto Festival
The Spoleto Festival is from Wednesday to Sunday, May 22, 2024, through June 9, 2024, at various historic theaters, churches, and outdoor spaces throughout Charleston.
