A Look Inside: Marbled and Fin

June 20, 2024

Introducing Charlestons’ newest steakhouse, Marbled and Fin. Marbled and Fin opened on Thursday, June 12, 2024, on East Bay Street in Downtown Charleston. We stopped by this elegant new steakhouse and interviewed the vice president of Neighborhood Dining Group, Kenny Lyons, to get the inside scoop!

Marbled and Fin is owned by the Neighborhood Dining Group which also owns The James, Minero, Husk, and Delaney Oyster House. Take a look inside this new modern steakhouse.

The Interior

The interior of Marbled and Fin exudes elegance and a hint of sass with its high ceilings, herringbone wood floors, and a color palette of pink, white, and gold. The team worked with Charleston-based interior design firm MB Within to design this beautiful and warm steakhouse.

The restaurant includes a spacious main dining area with booths, round tables, and smaller tables for two, as well as a stunning burgundy room with a long table for larger groups. Additionally, there is a grand bar area, separated from the dining room by a row of bird-of-paradise plants. The atmosphere is energetic and bright, creating a unique vibe for a steakhouse.

The Details

When we asked Lyons for some tips for first-time diners, his advice was to “take it all in, let us delight you and share our vision of what a steakhouse and hospitality can be.”

And he, of course, recommends starting at the bar with a Catamaran Tan, which is Marbled & Fin’s take on a gin and tonic.

“Then grab a table, try all the luxury bites, get caviar service or a seafood tower with a glass of Krug Champagne,” Lyons adds. “For salads, our Caesar and wedge are exceptional. I’d get the Jack’s Creek Strip with a potato offering, then sides such as the truffle mac and cheese, creamed spinach, and mushrooms (it’s too hard to choose!).  And the Chocolate Entremet or Baked Alaska to finish the evening. Enjoy a bottle of Mayacamas Cabernet to enjoy with the steaks.”

That sounds like an ideal experience to us!

According to Lyons, the top menu items are the Luxury Bites, which include Kaluga Caviar Tart, Jonah Crab Lettuce Cup, and A5 Miyazaki Wagyu. Additionally, popular items include the #1 Tuna Tartare, Caviar Service, Broiled Oysters & Bone Marrow, and the Ora King Salmon.
