A Look Inside: The James

The James is a new American grill on James Island. The beautiful restaurant is owned and operated by The Neighborhood Dining Group, the team behind Husk, Delaney Oyster House, and Minero. The restaurant has a sophisticated dining room and bar area as well as a spacious and sunny patio. Take a look inside The James, and be sure to make a reservation to experience it yourself.

The Interior

The James has a large dining space to accommodate small and large parties and a sophisticated bar area with high top tables and booths. Happy hour is offered at the bar Monday through Friday from 5:00pm to 6:00pm. Happy Hour includes $8 vodka or gin martinis, $8 James Island Long Tea, and $5 to $10 glasses of wine.

The Exterior

The outdoor patio is a bright and sunny oasis, making it a perfect spot for a sunset dinner or after-work drinks and bites.

The Menu

The menu at The James has a little bit of everything. Start your meal with fluffy Parker House Rolls served with honey butter or a cup of creamy mushroom soup, followed by one of their hearty salads like the Generous Wedge Salad or Spicy Caesar Salad. The entrée menu includes options like crab cakes, salmon, shrimp pasta, baby back ribs, and plenty of steak options. And don’t forget to try one of the speciality cocktails, like the must-try Frozen James Island Iced Tea (pictured below).
